LIFE IS A FUNNY LITTLE THING
Here's a window into mine:
Charlotte is an educator, writer, blogger, and big-time daydreamer. She takes great pleasure in capturing tiny moments of chaos from everyday life, aspiring to write stories that comfort and connect.
Though she was born in Slough, Charlotte was raised and educated within the wild heart of West Wales. As a Free School Meals student from a single-parent family, Charlotte grew up relying upon the goodness of neighbours for support. Charlotte’s love for her homeland and affinity with the sea permeate through her writing and belief in the power of community.
Charlotte holds a BA in Education from the University Of Cambridge, where she graduated top of her class in 2020. She also holds an MPhil in Children’s Literature, winning the Homerton College Master’s Prize and Horobin Award in 2021. She has presented papers at conferences held by faculties in Toronto and Vienna, and the Children’s Literature Association 2021 conference. Charlotte is a graduate of Curtis Brown Creative's 'Edit and Pitch Your Novel' course, and is currently seeking representation for her debut novel.
Most recently, Charlotte has embarked on her greatest adventure yet as a participant in the 2023 JET Programme. Having waved a fond Welsh farewell to her home, Charlotte packed up a suitcase and bowed into the city lights of Tokyo. She plans to spend the next few years making connections, polishing her Japanese language skills, blogging, novel planning, and relaxing in every onsēn the city has to offer.
Thanks for following along on the adventure!
